The Executive Chairman, Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta state, Hon. (Pharm) Victor Ofobrukueta, has with immediate effect dissolved all Revenue Sub-Committee in the local government.
The dissolution which was contained in a letter signed by the Secretary to the local government, Hon. Edesiri Aganbi and made available through the Press Secretary to the chairman, Comrade Akpevwe Ehwarieme said all revenue Committee/Contractor appointed by the Chairman to collect revenue for the year 2023, excluding Motor Parks and Tenement Revenue Committee has been dissolved with immediate effect.
The letter directed all committees/contractors to handover all government property including the council receipts to the office of the Secretary, Ethiope East Local Government Council.
The letter further stated that anyone that engages in further collection of revenue on behalf of the Ethiope East council does that at his or her own risk as law enforcement agencies will not hesitate prosecute such defaulters, as Isiokolo and Abraka Police Divisions have been notified.
The letter disclosed that committee(s) will be inaugurated in due course.
