The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has confirmed that two persons were killed and one injured during the clash between the #EndSARS and pro-SARS protesters in Dutse-Alhaji, a suburb in Abuja.
A statement by the Command Spokesperson, ASP Yusuf Mariam, disclosed that officers of the Police Command have since professionally succeeded in restoring calm at Dutse-Alhaji.
The Command has, however, condemned in totality the destruction of public and individual property by hoodlums, especially the burning of a police outpost at Dutse-Makaranta.

The statement explained that: “The FCT Police Command wishes to unequivocally refute the malicious and mischievous story trending in some sections of social media that the FCT Police shot at 5 protesters at Dutse-Alhaji.
“During the unfortunate incident, the protesters suddenly went berserk, leaving two persons dead and one injured.”
While commiserating with the family members of the deceased persons, the Commissioner of Police (CP), Bala Ciroma, has ordered a thorough investigation into the unfortunate incident.
The CP, has however, enjoined Officers and Men of the Command to remain professional in the discharge of their duties.
He, therefore, urged residents of the capital city to eschew violence of all forms and embrace peace.
