Kogi State former Deputy Governor, Elder Simon Achuba has felicitated with Muslims across the country on this year’s Eid-el-fitr celebration.
In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Akor Sylvester, the former Deputy Governor said the month of Ramadan was a month of spiritual connection with the Creator and urged Muslims to use the lessons learnt during the period to impact positively on the lives of their neighbors.
He enjoined the Muslim faithfuls across the country to pray and seek the face of God over the various challenges bedeviling the country.
The former Deputy Governor further urged Muslims and, indeed, all Nigerians to be united in prayers for a better Nigeria.
He reiterated that God loves Nigeria and will continue to bless and hold the country together in one accord.
The former Deputy Governor further advocated religious tolerance among Nigerians, stating that the country would be better when all religious bodies work together for the good of the people.
Elder Achuba who said that the task of building a new Nigeria requires all hands to be on deck, maintained that the interest of the nation should be above all other interests if the country must move to the next level.
He, therefore, urged Nigerians to unite against criminality and unguided utterances capable of tearing the country apart .
On Kogi Muslims, the former Deputy Governor urged them to celebrate the season in joy and hope, putting into consideration, the less privileged around them.
He wished them Eid-el-fitr celebration and prayed God to guide and protect them always.
