The Department of State Services (DSS) has reportedly arrested the acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ibrahim Magu, in Abuja.
According to reports, he was arrested Monday over allegations that he owns four properties and that he was allegedly transferring funds abroad through a third party.
The Nation reports that Magu was stopped in traffic while moving out of the Wuse II Annex of the EFCC in Abuja and the invitation was extended to him.
The report said Magu was taken to the Presidential Villa where a panel is sitting over the matter, despite his plea that he had a prior engagement at the Police Force headquarters.
The panel is said to be sitting at the Banquet Hall wing of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, awaiting to be interviewed by the panel.
