The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), on Thursday in Abuja, presented Certificate of Return to the winner of the governorship election in Edo State held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, Monday Okpewholo.
The Deputy Governor-elect, Dennis Idahosa also received his Certificate of Return.
The exercise, conducted by the National Commissioner supervising the state, Rhoda Gumus on behalf of the INEC Chairman, Prof Mahmood Yakubu, was witnessed by top members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
This include, the APC national chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, Senator Adams Oshiomhole, Edo State Deputy Governor, Comrade Philip Shaibu, Minister of Niger Delta, Abubakar Momoh.
Others are APC chairman in Edo State, Jaret Tenebe, Hon. Billy Osarawu, Hon. Odion Okojie among others
In an interview with journalists, the visibly elated governor-elect, said the time has come for him to start implementing his campaign promises for all-round improvement in the lives of the people of the heart beat of the nation.
