As the race for September 21 Edo Governorship election hits top gear, a woman leader in Oredo local government area (LGA), Princess Caroline Efeomah has said that the duo of Asue Ighodalo, People’s Democratic party (PDP) flag bearer and Osarodion Ogie, his deputy, will make a wonderfully good pair as Governor Godwin Obaseki’s successor.
Speaking in an interaction with this newspaper, the Princess said the PDP sure has assets in Ighodalo and Ogie and that they possess the potentialities of retaining the government house, Benin for the party.
“The two of them are lawyers. The are experienced both in professional field and in public service. So they are bringing the expertise that Edo needs to continue to water the legacies of Governor Godwin Obaseki” she said.
The youthful woman leader particularly harped on the fact that the deputy governorship candidate, Osarodion Ogie who is currently the Secretary to Edo State government, is experienced in matters of governance and that he has served creditably in various capacities in successive administrations in Edo State.
“South, central, and Edo North, our people know Ighodalo and Ogie. They don’t blab. They are tested men of positive vibes and managerial acumen. I commend the PDP for choosing them”, she enthused.
She added: “On the field, we find them very marketable. As such, come September 21, PDP will beat the opposition hands down and of course we will be magnanimous enough to invite them to the celebration party”.
