The prospective Chairman of Etsako-West local government area (LGA) of Edo State, Clement Igbafe Afekhena has reeled out specific stratagem for rescuing the people of the area from poverty and deprivation if elected as Executive Chairman of the LGA.
This is as the APC stalwart hastened to congratulate Governor Monday Okpebholo for clinching victory for the party duty last Saturday’s bye-election.
“That last Saturday’s bye-election was won all round is an affirmation of the leadership acumen of Governor Monday Okpebholo. Such is the landslide that we envisage in 2027”, Afekhena enthused.
Speaking with Journalists after meeting with APC leaders in Iyamho-Uzairue, the Iyuku-Uzairue born phylantropist and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Saint Clemmy Distribution Company, said, “I’m very much interested in driving away poverty from Jagbe, Anwain, Agbede, Avhiele, Ibienafe, South Ibie, Auchi and all of Uzairue”.
Continuing, the Chairmanship aspirant said, “by the same token, I will replace poverty with palpable development and make our people feel the essence of governance in this local government. For all you care, this is why I’m in the race”.
Further investigation reveals that Clement Igbafe Afekhena has acquired a reputation on account of his enduring philanthropy and communalism spirit.
Aminat Umoru, a resident of Abotse in Auchi, while commenting on the merits of the young politician to head the LGA as Executive Chairman averred that citizens have been feeling the impact of his benevolence for a long time.
“”Clement is from Iyuku, a place in Uzairue that is politically marginalized. And he is good. Let the leaders give him the ticket without encumbrances and let other contenders step down for him. We need him. We prefer him!”.
The chairmanship aspirant is said to be enjoying the support of the bulwark of his kit and kin in Iyuku
In this regard, Yakubu Abduimalik, a patron of hunters association and an illustrious Son of Iyuku had this to say, “All of us are with Clement. We all believe in him. That Boy is a rare leader. I will personally join his campaign team as the race hots up”.
