Edo Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu, has been impeached by the State Assembly after months of face-off between him and his boss, Governor Godwin Obaseki.
The lawmakers impeached Shaibu Monday morning over alleged gross misconduct.
He had refused to appear before the probe panel constituted by the Assembly to investigate the matter.
The feud between the two erstwhile allies started when Shaibu insisted on running for governorship in the next election later this year, against the wish of Obaseki to present and support another aspirant.
