The former Nasarawa State governor made the call in an Easter message he personally signed and made available to newsmen in Lafia, on Saturday.
He admonished Christians from his senatorial zone and the entire people of Nasarawa to be sober and consistently pray against Covid-19.
“We need to be passionate and always make meaningful contributions towards positive development and progress of our dear state and the country at large.
“Let me appeal to all of us to be sober at this moment of temptation and collectively pray against COVID 19,” Al-Makura stressed.
He, therefore, congratulated Christian faithfuls on the auspicious occasion of Easter.
According to him, “the lesson of Jesus’ death and resurrection is a demonstration of love and selflessness and as beneficiaries of His uncommon love, it is important that we extend same to our fellow humans.
“Therefore, I urge you all to also pray for President Muhammadu Buhari, Governor Abdullahi Sule and for enduring peace to reign supreme in our country.”
