The former Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Elder Simon Achuba, has called on leaders and well- to -do Nigerians to always consider the welfare of others.
He made the call in an Easter message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Akor Sylvester, on Saturday.
Achuba urged Christians and, indeed, all Nigerians to use the Easter period to renew their faith in God in the wake of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the former deputy governor, the current challenges posed by Covid-19 and other killer diseases in the country and the world at large were a test on their faith, assuring that “God will take total control of the situation and heal us all”.
He, therefore, advised Christians to always seek the face of God in all situations, insisting that God has solution to all challenges of life.
While calling on Christians to emulate the sacrificial life of Jesus Christ, Elder Achuba urged both Christians and non Christians to always take into consideration the welfare of others.
The Elder further admonished Nigerians to re-dedicate themselves to the service of mankind as reflected on the ideals of Easter.
While wishing residents of Kogi State a Happy Easter celebration, the former Deputy Governor urged them to stay united at all times for the development of the state.
