Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, and his wife, Edith, have tested positive for Coronavirus.
The Governor announced this via his Twitter handle this morning.
He thanked the people for their prayers for his family while on isolation.
“My wife and I have tested positive for COVID-19. We are well and continuing with our isolation/medication. We thank you all for your continued prayers for us and our daughter” the governor tweeted.
This comes a day after Ondo state Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, announced that he tested positive to the virus and has consequently gone on self-isolation.
ExpressDay recalls that Governors Bala Mohammed of Bauchi; Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna and Seyi Makinde of Oyo had similarly positive for COVID-19 and had recovered over the past three months.
