Delta State Commissioner for Oil and Gas, Prince Emmanuel Amgbaduba, has assured Nigerians in the oil and gas sector that State of the safety and security of their investments, and urged them not to panic.
The Commissioner gave the assurance today Monday in Asaba while reacting to the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic on the sector.
He stated that his Ministry was pursuing aggressive agenda to make Delta safe haven for oil and gas investment as well as enable investors to reap bountifully from the fortunes staked in the State.
Amgbaduba, who also said that part of the measures the State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, has taken to woo investors into the oil industry was to reposition the industry, improve the state economic environment, and gazette operational modalities.
He also said Nigerians and foreign investors should consider Delta a point of destination on the strength that transparency is now entrenched in the oil and gas sector with increased reforms which have boosted local capacity and the hunger to pass the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB).
