Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule, has lamented that the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic has slowed down the progress of the Karu Mega Bus Terminal project.
Sule who stated this after inspecting ongoing work at the project site in Mararaba, Karu Local Government Area of the State on Monday, noted that the work was at 28 percent completion instead of the projected 45 percent.
He described the situation as understandable considering the current impact of the dreaded Covid-19 on society.
The inspection of the project, being part of activities to mark his one year in office, the governor expressed satisfaction with the quality of work on the site.
According to the governor, the Karu Mega Bus Terminal when completed, will serve the state and link with FCT, Plateau, Benue, Kaduna and other states of the country.
Engr. Sule was taken round the site by the Project Consultant, Architect Shehu Tukur, who assured the Governor of top quality job.
The Governor was accompanied on the inspection tour by the first civilian governor of the state, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, members of the State Executive Council, Special Advisers, Secretary to the State Government, local government chairmen, traditional rulers, among other top government officials.
