The Special Assistant to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on youth development, Prince Sony Jifas Ogbon has donated food items worth over N500,000 along with hand sanitizers to the people of Ughelli South Local Government Area.
Prince Ogbon who stated that he felt the pains of the people on the stay at home directives, urged the people to remain calm as he is optimistic that a cure for the deadly disease would be found soon.
He disclosed that the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), scientists, microbiologists and laboratory experts were working tireless in union with other doctors all over the world.
“This problem by the grace of God will soon be over. God will definitely inspire our doctors to discover the vaccine that will put a permanent cure to the Covid-19”.
On the stay at home order by the Delta State Governor, Ogbon affirmed that it was the best step taken by the Governor and it was for the good interest of Deltans.
He noted that at the moment, it was better to stay alive than to die of Coronavirus.
He however called on other well meaning individuals, corporate bodies and churches from Ughelli South to assist the aged, widows, widowers and the vulnerable in the local government.
Speaking after receiving the items, the youth leaders promised to ensure the items are distributed evenly to the most vulnerable in the local government.
