Senator Umaru Tanko Al-makura, representing Nasarawa South Senatorial District, has facilitated the presentation of COVID-19 palliatives from the Goodluck Jonathan Foundation to Nasarawa State Government.
A delegation from the Foundation arrived Lafia, the Nasarawa state capital on Friday and was received by Senator Al-Makura in his residence.
Al-makura thereafter, led them to Governor Abdullahi Sule for a brief meeting.
The donation of the palliatives by former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, was part of his efforts to cushion the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic to the people of Nasarawa State.
The food items presented to the Nasarawa State government were 2,000 bags of rice, beans and maize.
The Goodluck Jonathan Foundation is an independent, non-governmental organisation established to promote democratic accountability, peace building, conflict prevention, and inclusive governance.
