The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Administration has admonished Abuja residents to strictly adhere to health protocols as a deadlier second wave of Covid-19 hits the nation’s capital.

The FCT minister, Mohammed Bello, stated this on Monday at theAbuja emergency stakeholders’ review meeting on the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic.
While decrying the non-compliance to COVID-19 safety protocols by Abuja residents, Bello noted that more lives have already been lost to the deadly second wave of the virus in the FCT.

The Minister therefore, called on FCT residents to adhere to all protocols stipulated to prevent the the spread of COVID-19 virus by maintaining social distancing, washing their hands and wearing of face masks even as he warned that declaring another round of lockdown would be detrimental to the city’s economy.
The FCT Emergency Stakeholders’ Review Meeting came on the heels of the death of Leadership Newspaper publisher, Sam Nda-Isaiah who reportedly died of complications from Covid-19.
