Six patients successfully treated of the Covid-19 in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have been discharged.
The Minister of FCT, Mallam Mohammed Musa Bello who disclosed this on his Twitter handle on Saturday, explained that the patients tested negative twice.
He said: “I am delighted to announce the discharge of additional six (6) #COVID19 patients in the FCT after they tested negative in the subsequent tests carried out.
“The total number of discharged patients in the FCT is now 46 as at 10am, May 9th, 2020.
I commend the dedicated and exceptional frontline health workers for all their efforts.
“More efforts are being sustained to ensure the recovery and discharge of more patients from the isolation and treatment centres”.
Figures from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) as at Friday night showed that the FCT has recorded 316 cases of the Covid-19, the third highest in Nigeria after Lagos and Kano states.
Nigeria as at Friday night has recorded a total of 3,526 cases with 107 deaths and 605 patients successful treated.
