The Adamawa State Government has declared the Councillor representing Vulpi ward of Numan Local Government Area in Adamawa state, Mr. Makana Enan Ngari, wanted for alleged involvement in cattle rustling and breach of public peace.
The Press Secretary to the Governor, Humwashi Wonosikou, disclosed this in a press statement, in Yola.
According to the statement: “The Councillor (Makana Enan) is accused of involvement in illegal deals and cattle rustling which contravenes his oath of office.
“The action is coming at a time government has succeeded at stabilising the area after the incessant attacks on villages along the borders of Adamawa/Taraba.
“Government is appealing to both herders and farmers not to take the law in to their hands, but allow the law to take its course as government is doing everything possible to ensure that peace prevails between farmers and herders and all law abiding citizens.”
