The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has shut down its orientation camps nationwide and has sent home all corps members as a way of curbing the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
The NYSC made the announcement through its State Coordinators to the corp members at the parade grounds on Wednesday morning.
The order which came from the NYSC headquarters in Abuja, however, directed the corp members to collect their transport allowances, letters for their places of primary assignment, and identity cards before leaving the orientation camps.
The camps opened last Tuesday nationwide and would have lasted for three weeks but for the sudden closure.
