Four men under the age of 30 have been paraded by the Nasarawa State Command of Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corp (NSCDC) over alleged examination malpractices in the Joint Matriculation Examination Board (JAMB) conducted on Friday.
While parading the four young men at the Command Headquarters in Lafia, the Commandant, Mamud Fari, said that the suspects were arrested during the JAMB examination in four different centers in the State.
According to him, the implication of engaging in the act of examination malpractices attracts 21 years imprisonment as enshrined in the law.
“After parading them, we will arraigned them before a competing court of law.
” And as you are aware, the law stipulates that if found guilty of the offense, they will be handed 21 years jailed term.
” You can imagine that this young men are people we are supposed to look up to as leaders of tomorrow, but have decided to engage themselves in criminal activities at the early stage of their lives. How can we trust them with the future,” he said.
