Centre for Peace and Environmental Justice (CEPEJ) will on Wednesday hold a virtual programme with the theme: ‘Effect of Covid-19 to the environment, practical ways to sustain the degraded environment’.
The 3-day event is scheduled to hold on October 14, 21 and 28, 2020 by 12:00 noon via Zoom with the National Coordinator, CEPEJ Comrade Mulade Sheriff coordinating the event.
The 14th October, 2012 program will feature the Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Civil Society and Civic Engagement, Rex Anigorho who will speak on the role of CSOs, NGOs and IOCs, in the remediation of the environment.
Micro Pollutants Research Centre, University Tun, Hussein Onn, Malaysia, Dr. Wesam Al Madhoun will speak on the resultant effects of the use of pesticides to the environment and human health, and Dr Regina Folorunsho, Director, Nigeria Institute for Oceanography and Marine Research (NIOMR), Lagos.
Comrade Sheriff in a statement said amongst many other speakers, a representative from the Federal Ministry of Environment, Abuja will give a talk on the government strategic plans in sustaining the environment from degradation amidst Covid-19.
