Calabar court restrains Secondus from attending PDP NEC meeting

The crisis in the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has deepened with Justice Edem Ita Koofreh of Calabar High Court granting an order of interim injunction restraining the embattled National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus, from attending today’s (Saturday) National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting.

The Judge in a suit number HC/240/202 filed by a member of PDP in Cross River State, Mr. Enang Kanum Wani, also barred Secondus from re-contesting for the post of the National Chairman of PDP, pending the determination of the suit.

The presiding Judge adjourned the matter to September 7, 2021 for hearing.

ExpressDay recalls that Secondus was earlier this week removed by a High Court in Rivers state but was reinstated on Thursday by another High Court in Kebbi state.

He resumed on Friday at ‘Wadata House’ headquarters of the PDP in Abuja.
