President Muhammadu Buhari this morning swore into office Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan as the substantive Head of Civil Service of the Federation.
He administered the oath of office on her shortly before the commencement of the meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Yemi-Esan was appointed Head of Service in an acting capacity in September 2019 following a directive for her predecessor, Mrs. Winifred Oyo-Ita, to proceed on indefinite leave to allow for the conclusion of her ongoing investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
After initially turning down her request for early retirement, President Buhari finally approved it recently, paving the way for the swearing in of Yemi-Esan in substantive capacity.
