President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday spoke on phone the Obas of Lagos, Dr. Rilwanu Babatunde, the Oba Lagos, whose palace was recently sacked by hoodlums.
The monarch’s staff of office was also stolen by the thugs in the rampage that trailed the #EndSARS protests last week.
This did not dampen the President’s solidarity and warm birthday message to the Lagos ruler on the occasion of his 77th birthday.
Buhari also commiserated with him on the recent episode of violence that led to the losses of life and property in Lagos.
“The President recalled his long association and friendship with the Oba and appreciated the personal role that the latter has played in nurturing the peace and development of Lagos state and nation as a whole”, said a statement issued by presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu, on Thursday night.
