President Muhammadu Buhari will address Nigerians by 7pm today.

This is contained in a statement by the Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity), Mr. Femi Adesina.

The reason for the address, according to many, may not be unconnected with the restriction order placed in some states of the country.

It can be recalled that today ends two weeks when Lagos, Ogun and FCT were placed on lockdown in order to halt the spread of the Covid-19.

Many Nigerians are already speculating that the address is intended to announce the extension of the restriction order.

The statement reads: “President Muhammadu Buhari will broadcast to the nation Monday, April 13, 2020 at 7pm.

“Television, radio and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) respectively for the broadcast.”
