To set example in the face of festering cult practices in higher institutions, the management of Auchi Polytechnic has deposed to a court affidavit to implant non membership of any cult group and to inspire staff and students with such tendencies to renounce them
According to a news release made available to ExpressDay, the Rector, Dr. Salisu Shehu Umar and his management team went to court in Auchi to do this on Friday.
“As a symbol of integrity, transparency, and exemplary leadership, my management team and I were in court this morning to deposed to an affidavit of non-membership in any secret cult, and this we did willingly, without any fear or hesitation.
“As the head of this great institution, it is my responsibility to set a strong moral compass for our staff, students, and the entire Polytechnic community.
“It is crucial that we foster an environment that promotes learning, growth, and above all, safety. Secret cults have no place in our educational system, and we must take a stand against them.”Through this declaration of my non-membership in any secret cult, I aim to lead by example and encourage others to follow suit. I hope that every member of our polytechnic community, from the teaching staff to the non-teaching staff, will join me in taking this solemn oath.
“Together, we can create an environment that values integrity, honesty, and ethical conduct for the betterment of our polytechnic and the future of our students”, the Rector said.
