Atiku sells off Intels, accuses Buhari of witch-hunt

Co-founder of Integrated Logistics Services Nigeria Limited (Intels) and chieftain of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has been selling his shares in Intels, according to his media adviser, Paul Ibe.

In a statement issued on Monday, Ibe said this was result of witch-hunt by the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Atiku, a former Vice-President, was the main challenger to Buhari in the 2019 presidential election, which the former lost.
According to Ibe, the divestment of shares from Intels assumed “greater urgency” in the last last five years as he said the Buhari government was more preoccupied with destroying a legitimate business that employed thousands of Nigerians because of politics.

Ibe stated: “Co-founder of  Integrated Logistics Services Nigeria Limited (Intels), Atiku Abubakar, has been selling his shares in Intels over the years.
“It assumed greater urgency in the last last five years, because this Government has been preoccupied with destroying a legitimate business that was employing thousands of Nigerians because of politics.
“There should be a marked difference between Politics and Business.
“Yes, he has sold his shares in Intels and redirected his investment to other sectors of the economy for returns and creation of jobs.”
