The Nigeria Institute of Architects, Nasarawa State Chapter has passed a vote of confidence on contractors and the quality of constructions works going on in the state.
The Institute also said it was happy with the State Ministry of Works for its supervisory role in ensuring that contracts awarded met the desired quality specifications.
This was disclosed by the Chairman, Nasarawa State chapter of the Institute, Architect Shehu Othman, while planting trees at the Ministry of Works complex in Lafia on Friday.
He said the delegation was also in Lafia was to fine-tune the processes of electing their new exco after the expiration of the tenure of the outgoing executives of the state chapter.
Architect Shehu also added that plans were on course to ensure that tertiary institutions in the State, including the State Polytechnic and others got registration and accreditation of courses to compete with other institutions in the country.
He, however, explained that the significance of planting the trees was synonymous with architecture profession as it symbolises green environment.
“Our visit is also in solidarity with the state government led administration of Engr. Abdullahi Sule, who, we believed would lead the state to the next level.” Othman noted.
