A group of professionals, the Anambra Progressives, has built and equipped a 50-bed ultramodern medical complex for the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital (NAUTH), Nnewi, Anambra State.
During the commissioning and official hand-over of the medical complex, Chairman of Medical Advisory Committee (CMAC) of the hospital, Dr. Joseph Ugboaja, thanked the Anambra Progressives under the leadership of Sen Ifeanyi Ubah for their great effort and sacrifice in donating the building to the hospital.
He noted that it would greatly facilitate the efforts of the hospital management in relocating some sections of the hospital to the permanent site before the end of the year.
The CMAC noted that the Anambra Progressives have demonstrated that task of providing quality healthcare to the people should not be left to the government alone.
He said that the donation of the ultramodern center had added a great boost to the plan of transforming the Teaching hospital to a world class hospital.
