Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, has donated a brand new Peugeot 407 to Bishop Joseph Masin, the Nasarawa State Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).
Senator Al-Makura, who is representing Nasarawa South at National Assembly, presented the car to the CAN chairman on Tuesday in his residence in Lafia.
Represented by his Director General, Rayyanu Illiyasu, the Senator said that the donation was meant to reduce the hardship faced by the man of God, who was kidnapped by unknown persons recently.
The Senator also gave different types of support to other residents of the Senatorial district.
Receiving the car key in his residence, Bishop Masin, thanked the Senator for the roles he played before and after his released by the kidnappers.
The Bishop said that the Senator is not a religious bigot, assuring him that he would win second term, as he called on other politicians to emulate the former Governor who always accord respect to religious institutions.
Bishop Masin, used the occasion to thank both Christians and Muslim in the state who prayed for his freedom from the hands of his abductors.
