Delta-born human and environmental rights advocate, Comrade Mulade Sheriff, has appealed to abductors of the resident doctor at Ojobo Central Hospital, Burutu Local government Area of Delta State, Dr. Wilson Aboyitete, to release him in the interest of Ijaw nation, Delta State and his family.
Comrade Mulade, the National Coordinator of Center for Peace and Environmental Justice (CEPEJ), noted that the abduction of a medical personnel at this critical time created a wrong impression in Ijaw land, as the riverine areas lack quality hospitals, stressing that the only one available ought to have been protected from such an ugly experience.
He therefore, called on Ijaw people particularly Ojobo indigenes to take urgent steps to free Aboyitete from his abductors to reunite him with his family and guarantee the lives and property of all health workers posted to Ijaw communities in the State.
Chief Mulade, who is the Ibe-Sorimowei of ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom, also appealed to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and security agencies in the State to do everything within their powers to free Aboyitete to assure all resident doctors, nurses and other health workers of their safety in the rural areas of the State.
