Accountant-General’s office in Abuja on fire

A team of fire service men are battling to put out a fire currently ravaging the headquarters of the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation in Abuja.

The building, also known as “Treasury House” is located beside the Federal Capital Territory FCT Police Command in Garki, Abuja.

The cause of the fire is not yet known while police and other security agencies are also assisting the fire fighters, drawn from different fire stations, the military and construction firms, to cordon off the area and contain the flames.

Workers who would have been in the office are still observing the sit-at-home ordered by government to check the spread of the Coronavirus disease in the country.
