Seven States Commands Commissioners of Police (CPs) have been redeployed/posted by Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu.
In a statement by the Force Spokesman, Frank Mba, an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), the affected state commands include Osun, Ondo, Bauchi, Ebonyi, Gombe, Edo, Oyo.
According to the statement, CP Undie J. Adie, will be in charge of Osun State, CP Johnson Babatunde Kokumo, will be in charge of Edo and Bauchi Command will be headed CP Lawal Jimeta Tanko.
On the other hand, CP Philip Sule Maku will be in charge of Ebonyi State, CP Ahmed Maikudi Shehu, will be in charge of Gombe; CP Bolaji Amidu Salami, will be in charge of Ondo while CP Joe Nwachukwu Enwonwu, will head the Oyo state command.
Also affected in the redeployment are the CPs for Eastern Port,
Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD), Airport Command and Anti-Fraud Unit (FCID Annex Lagos.
The redeployment/posting, according to the statement, is with immediate effect.
IGP Adamu, therefore, charged the newly posted officers “to ensure they consolidate and advance the gains of their predecessors particularly in the implementation of community-policing, crime prevention, public security, public safety and general crime fighting.”
