
President Bola Tinubu will Monday morning administer the oath of office on 45 Ministers-designate screened and cleared by the Senate.
He had submitted a total of 48 names yo be appointed as Ministers but the Senate after screening them, put on hold the confirmation of three of nominees.
Last Thursday, the President assigned portfolios to the cleared nominees, a departure form past traditions, as previous Presidents usually named their portfolios on the day of their inauguration.
The Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), on Sunday announced that all 45 Ministers-designate had successfully completed their documentation.
The documentation which commenced on Saturday at the Office of the SGF in Abuja, was completed Sunday evening, said Willie Bassey. Director of Information in the Office.
According to Bassey, “in all, the forty-five Ministers-Designate successfully completed the documentation process and also picked up three invitation cards for their guests.
“Adequate transportation arrangements have been concluded to convey Ministers-Designate and their three invited guests to the venue of the ceremony at the State House Conference Centre, Aso Villa, Abuja.
“Permanent Secretaries in various MDAs are advised to meet their respective Ministers after the swearing- in ceremony at the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the for further interaction with them.”
He also disclosed that the swearing-in ceremony would be broadcast live to the public via national television stations and online.
