An angry mob has burnt down three Dangote trucks as a result of the death of a baby when the mother and ‘okada’ rider were knocked down in Lokoja.
Eye witnesses recounted that at about 10:30pm Friday, a Dangote trailer knocked down an ‘okada’ rider who was carrying a mother and her baby before the accident.
Angered by the death of the baby who was with his mother, a mob mobilized and burnt down the Dangote trucks.

Reports, however, said that the mother of the baby and the ‘okada’ rider are presently receiving treatment and are in a stable condition.
The Commissioner of Police in Kogi,  Edeh Ayuba, who confirmed the accident, said the command has brought the situation under control.
He, however, noted that the timely intervention of the Police save the situation from being worse as the mob were prepared to destroy many Dangote trucks and other motorists along that route.
Findings indicated that the incident created  heavy gridlock on the Ganaja road, a road leading to the eastern flank of Nigeria.
