Chief Benjamin Aliu, Edo-born United States-based entrepreneur has decried the socio-economic maladies plaguing Nigeria saying that the current administration has brought untold hardship upon the masses.

In a chat with ExpressDay, Aliu who is resident in New York, blamed the All Progressives Congress (APC) led Federal government for the pathetic state of affairs and asked the electorate to reject APC and support the candidate of Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi in 2023 presidential election.

“The 2023 election is a crucial one for Nigeria because I believe that it will determine whether Nigeria as a country will remain as one or disintegrate.

“Unfortunately from the look of things the same old politicians that have destroyed the unity of the country and ran the country almost aground want to continue to perpetuate themselves in office.

“It is very unfortunate that the States presently controlled by the ruling party (APC) are doing all they can to prevent other parties from campaigning in those States,.

“In Lagos State, other parties are said not to be able to advertise on billboards because the State government refused to allow them.

“We all are aware that Tinubu and his thugs did all they could to prevent the Igbos from getting their PVCs, in Kaduna State El Rufai dispatched the Police to prevent people who are supporting Peter Obi from holding a ‘million man’ match and the question is where is the so called democracy and the so called One Nigeria?

“If the APC had performed they will not be afraid of the other Parties. It is very obvious from what is going on that Peter Obi is a movement whose time has come and I am sure that Peter Obi himself can’t even believe what is going on, it is not just within Nigeria it is worldwide.

“For those trying to impose a sick man on the country I will say think again, we do not want to go through another Buhari situation again for if we make the mistake of imposing Tinubu on the country a cabal will emerge to run the country.

“In all honesty we can see that Tinubu is a sick man. At this crucial time we need a young man/ woman with a vision and the ability to deliver and the only standing man among all the contestants is Peter Obi. Any attempt to denial him victory mayl result in sharp reactions that we are not praying for.

“God and majority of the people, the youths, the women, at home and in Diaspora are on the side of Peter Obi. We all must ensure that Peter Obi is not short changed in the coming presidential election”, he emphasized.
