2019 CHRISTIAN PILGRIMAGE FLAGS OFF IN LAGOS

The Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC) has commenced this year’s general pilgrimage to Israel and Rome, expected to run till the first month of next year.

The theme of this year’s general pilgrimage is “Engaging Christian Pilgrimage for National Change and Development”.

A statement from the Commission signed by the Head of Media, Mr Celestine Toruka, explains that the exercise which was earlier scheduled for last month was shifted till yesterday due to operational reasons.

It further stated that the exercise began in Lagos; with the inaugural flight of pilgrims from the State being the first batch to be airlifted to Israel for this year’s pilgrimage.

The statement urged all intending pilgrims to the Holy Land to be guided by the Commission’s Corporate Slogan which is “Proclaiming Christ, Serving Nigeria”.

It also gave an assurances that all logistics had been put in place to ensure a hitch-free pilgrimage exercise.
